I have spent the past few days digging the MORRIS line...
William C. Morris & Josephine Fletcher
- Pemela Elizabeth Morris & Isham C. Mock *my line
- Robert L. Morris & 1. Parlee Johnson, 2. Candy Ator
- Louisa Jane Morris
- Martha E. Morris & Chester Marlett
- Thomas Jefferson Morris & Matilda Alice Shaver
Pemela Elizabeth Morris & Isham C. Mock
- Martha Jane Mock (1874) & William Albert KERLEY * my line
- Francis Emily Mock (1871)
- Thomas M. Mock (1878)
- Willie Mock
- Sena Jenetta Mock (27 Oct 1884)
- Clarence Mock (1886)
- Luther Mock (1881)
- Candy Ganie Mock (4 Jun 1895)
I do not have much to go on as far as information about Willie, Sena Jenetta, Clarence, Luter, or Candy Ganie Mock. Doing genealogy from thousands of miles away can be difficult... But I love it! :)
I think if I lived in NorthEast Arkansas, the history of Randolph County and these surnames would be ingrained in me... I just have a lot of work to do... Next is going beyond William C. and digging around with the Fletchers...
Maybe it is good to have a cold. It means I really should be sitting on my couch doing nothing (and my laptop works great for research!). :)

Name by Name...
I have recently come back to researching my genealogy and actively pursuing all of my ancestors... They can try to hide in blurry census records and horrid misspellings but I am determined to find them! ;-)
Right now I am focusing on my paternal grandmother's family. Surnames include:
SULLIVAN - HARDT - HARRINGTON - THURSTON - (and all associated lines)
KERLEY - MOCK - WILLIAMS - MORRIS - STAGGS (and all associated lines)
My grandmother was from Reyno, Randolph County, Arkansas, the daughter of James Bryan Sullivan and Lillie Kerley.
James Bryan Sullivan (1898)is the son of George Washington SULLIVAN and Nancy Diana HARDT.
Lillie KERLEY (1901) is the daughter of William Albert KERLEY and Martha Jane MOCK. Both were born in Randolph County, Arkansas.
I am also researching my husband's family. The GHERARDINI family from Pistoia, Tuscana (Tuscany), ITALY. I welcome all GHERARDINI inquiries with eager anticipation! Other surnames include: CALAMITA, FERRERO, IACOMETTI, JAROSZ
Currently I am searching the IGI at http://www.familysearch.org name by name to see if any of my names are entered there. Surprisingly, some are. Most, however, are not. I have gleaned much of my information from census records, as well as the information given me by other researchers of my direct lines. :)
YAY to the Internet and sharing!
I have been reluctant to post a new/updated gedcom online until I get it updated with source records. I found an entry for my great-great grandparents on the IGI that "guessed" for some of the information and as a researcher it really bugs me. >:( It must be all of the papers I wrote in college that push me to have the source records (call me nit-picky or anal if you must!) but I want it to be accurate before it's published online as the "gospel truth". That is definitely something I've learned since the days of posting my first gedcom so innocently back in 1999! LOL
I always want to hear from my close and distant cousins. Please feel free to comment and/or email me. :)
Have a great day!
